Osceola Trail

Osceola Trail

The Osceola Trail project will create a multi-modal path connecting the Downtown area to the Lake Tuscawilla area and will extend from the Ocala Downtown Market on SE 3rd Street north along Osceola Avenue to the Tuscawilla Art Park on NE 5th Street. The existing civic gathering space at the Citizens’ Circle will be expanded.  The Customer Service Office parking lot and drive through will be incorporated into the Osceola Trail as part of this project. Sidewalks along Osceola Avenue will be widened and become a shared-use pathway for pedestrians and bicyclists. The amenities of the trail will include an expanded entryway from downtown into the Citizens Circle, enhanced crosswalks, open plazas with seating, landscape improvements, upgraded street lighting and a designated venue for food trucks. The existing roadway will be resurfaced as part of the project and the project is expected to improve drainage along the roadway. The Osceola Avenue roadway, sidewalks and crosswalks will be enhanced and upgraded; providing a safe, comfortable, visually appealing and enjoyable environment for all.  The Osceola Trail Project is expected to begin in January 2017.
